Snickerdoodles
- 1/2 Cup Butter, Softened
- 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 Tsp Vanilla
- 1 1/2 Cup Flour
- 1/4 Tsp Salt
- 1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
- 1/4 Tsp Cream of Tartar
- 2 Extra Tbsp Sugar
- A Lot of Cinnamon
- Cream together butter and sugars until fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
- Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ones and mix well.
- Add cinnamon to batter until it is noticably more brown.
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees while you let the dough rest for 30-60 minutes in the fridge.
- Combine the extra sugar and cinnamon for topping.
- Take a small handful- about 2 tablespoons?- of dough and roll it into a ball. Roll the ball in the cinnamon/sugar bowl and press it into an ungreased cookie sheet.
- (Pressing it is important for shape. Make a little thumb indent.)
- Bake cookies for 12-14 minutes.
- They will seem undercooked this is fine they will continue to cook on the sheet once they're cooling out of the oven!
