Rin Hoshizora is Transgender, and I will die on this hill.

Often used as an example of the classic (and upsetting) "tomboy gets fixed by becoming girly" trope, I feel that Rin deserves better than that reputation.

There are three main purposes for this stance;

>Rin was consistently told she was "too boyish" to wear skirts as a child.
>Rin consistently insists she isn't "girly" enough to be a school idol.
>Rin gaining the confidence to wear skirts and dresses was seen as a major step in her character development.

Love Live! as a franchise is too cowardly to ever provide outwardly queer representation, but I will die on the hill that Rin is (at the very least, unintentionally) trans-coded.
