Kero

Honestly, at first I just tried to think of some monkey-like-creature I could name him after. I ended thinking of kerobosu or whatever its name is from Cardcaptor Sakura, a show I have never watched more than two episodes of. However, conveniently, kero also is the start of kerosene, which is a firestarter.
